Every life breaks a trail: a birthplace, a long road, a last camp.

Kings and explorers, soldiers and scientists, poets and prophets — all tramped the same earth under the same sun. They fought over it, built upon it, and were buried in it. Cities rose where they made camp. Empires went down. The earth kept no record.

Humanity Atlas does. It is an interactive map of human history: historical figures pinned to the ground they stood on, in the year they stood there.
